An Affair of the Arts Performance and Gala

Miami, Florida
Saturday, January 15, 2011

YoungArts’ annual An Affair of the Arts Performance and Gala is recognized in Miami’s social, business and philanthropic communities as a signature event on the social calendar. Since 1989, this event has brought art enthusiasts together for an evening of performances, dining and dancing. More than 500 guests experience this celebration of the completion of YoungArts Week which showcases the young artists’ achievements and gives them the opportunity to be recognized for their outstanding talent. Past chairpersons include Sherwood “Woody” and Judy Weiser, Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz, Howard and Mary Frank, Toni and Carl Randolph and Hazel and Larry Rosen. The gala is also a critical fundraiser for YoungArts, spotlighting Miami’s role in the organization’s continued success over 29 years.

The evening begins with a pre-dinner performance by our spectacular alumni. Guests then walk the red carpet and experience inspired performance vignettes from select YoungArts finalists, win stellar prizes, enjoy superb cocktails and socialize with Miami power players amidst spectacular decor– all before being seated for a sensational dinner. The evening ends with dancing and an everlasting memory of the talented young artists and their impact to inspire us and future generations.

Attendees and sponsors of An Affair of the Arts contribute to and make a critical difference in the lives of these emerging artists by providing a foundation of support for diverse programs, scholarships, and exposure to master teachers across every discipline.

Sponsorship of An Affair of the Arts provides an opportunity to be prominently recognized at the event and to entertain high-level executives and clients. Sponsors also receive a suite of additional customized benefits that allow them to take advantage of their relationship with YoungArts throughout the year.
