Scholarship List Service

If you are an educator looking to recruit the top talent to your university, college, conservatory or professional school, YoungArts’ Scholarship List Service (SLS) offers the authorized names of high school seniors who register for the YoungArts program, as well as the names of those participants who ultimately are selected as YoungArts Winners and as U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts by the White House Commission on U.S. Presidential Scholars.

SLS provides a list of highly motivated students in the visual, literary and performing arts, who have made a commitment to the demanding and thorough process of preparing audition/portfolio materials for adjudication. It is an effective and accurate means for recruitment because it consists of a screened roster of students who are likely to pursue a college or advanced program in the arts.

SLS is a vehicle for institutions to earmark scholarships, apprenticeships or internships to YoungArts participants and winners. As a result, many SLS institutions have expanded their scholarship and financial aid programs for artists. Surveys indicate that SLS institutions earmark up to $3 million for YoungArts participants.

In response to the individual needs of specialized institutions, names of the YoungArts participants selected by region as well as by artistic discipline are made available. The full service includes names, addresses, and art fields of all YoungArts participants. Lists of YoungArts participants are mailed in July and November. The list of YoungArts award winners is mailed in February. The list of U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts is mailed in May.

You can customize your lists by discipline, region, teachers or principals.
