Creating life-changing experiences for exceptionally-talented young artists is the work of YoungArts, the core program of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. We know that artists are our future and we invest in them by our support and belief that their contributions to society are important. Over the past 30 years, YoungArts has given more than $6.4 million in awards and fostered more than $80 million in scholarships.
YoungArts realizes that the success of young artists is due, in great measure, to the support and nurturing they receive from their parents. If your child is 17 or 18 years old please encourage them to apply to our program so that they can have access to the following benefits:
- Exclusive U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts nominations
- $500,000 in total monetary awards
- Up to $10,000 monetary awards for individual winners
- All-expense paid trip to Miami for YoungArts Week in January 2012
- Master Classes with world renowned artists
- Access to scholarships, career opportunities and professional contacts
